The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Hughes misses with a wild body shot.
We've been informed that Dicko has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Dicko connects with a crisp jab.

Hughes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Dicko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hughes sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dicko tries to bum rush Hughes with a series of wild strikes but Hughes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hughes slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hughes thuds a left hand into Dicko's body.
Dicko throws out a loose jab but Hughes uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dicko connects with a looping right hand.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hughes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hughes throws an overhand right that lands on Dicko's shoulder, as Dicko tries to avoid the shot.
Dicko misses with a looping right.
Hughes catches Dicko with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Good leg kick by Dicko there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hughes throws a lazy right hand but Dicko sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dicko throws a series of punches but Hughes avoids them all with ease.

Hughes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dicko.

Dicko gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Hughes gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Dicko is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
