The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Powers clinches up with Travis and pushes him back against the cage.

Powers lands a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Travis pulls Powers in close to prevent any damage.

Travis has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Powers clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Travis is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Powers still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Powers has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Powers in particular looking to stall.

Powers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Powers goes for a double leg but Travis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Travis continues to drive forward.
