Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pereira has chosen Method Man ft Redman - Da Rockwilder as his entrance music. Damian Gonzalez is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Gonzalez.
Gonzalez throws a looping overhand right but Pereira ducks down to avoid it.
Gonzalez throws a series of punches but Pereira moves out of range.
Gonzalez throws out a loose jab but Pereira uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gonzalez throws a combination that misses
and Pereira counters with a left and a right that stings Gonzalez.
Pereira stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Pereira doesn't manage to clinch there - Gonzalez circles away.
Gonzalez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Pereira pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gonzalez back to the cage. Pereira follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

and Pereira counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Gonzalez down! Pereira is looking to finish but Gonzalez is intelligently defending himself.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pereira accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pereira is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Gonzalez seems to have got his legs back now.
Pereira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gonzalez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pereira is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gonzalez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gonzalez has escaped and now he's on top!

Gonzalez wants to stand and escape but instead Pereira has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Pereira thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Gonzalez wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Pereira manages to pass to side control.

Pereira seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gonzalez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pereira is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gonzalez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gonzalez shrugs it off.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pereira goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gonzalez turns into him and now he's in Pereira's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Pereira has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Gonzalez goes down! Pereira pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!

Pereira thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Gonzalez on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Pereira tries to move to mount but Gonzalez blocks the move with his legs.

Gonzalez is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Cave Fighting Team, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Gonzalez is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pereira is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gonzalez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Pereira has hold of Gonzalez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gonzalez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Gonzalez is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Pereira locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Gonzalez is forced to tap!
