Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taco Bueno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel comes to the cage accompanied by Kollegah - Bossaura. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Taco Bueno!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bueno slips under a jab from Steel.
Bueno cracks Steel with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Steel, as that shot connected.
Bueno scores with a punch to the head.
Steel tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Steel has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Spetznaz Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
A jab from Bueno misses.
Steel throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bueno lands with a nice body punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Steel slips under a jab.
Bueno misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Steel plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Steel misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bueno fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Steel on the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Steel. Bueno does a little dance to reset his feet.
That kick from Steel tenderised Bueno's leg. Bueno is trying to keep his angry face on.

Steel takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bueno has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Steel sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
David Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Steel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bueno tries to bum rush Steel with a series of wild strikes but Steel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
David Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Steel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Steel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bueno needs to keep his hands up - Steel had a free shot at his head there.
Bueno scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Steel doesn't seem bothered though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Steel lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Steel stuns Bueno with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Steel thuds a left hand into Bueno's body.
Bueno shoots in looking for a takedown but Steel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bueno's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bueno lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Bueno has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Steel finds it's way round the side to connect with Bueno's head.

Nice straight punches there by Steel. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Steel.
Steel with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Steel throws a body punch but Bueno moves out of range.
Bueno lands with an overhand left.

Bueno drives through and clinches with Steel against the cage.
Bueno lands with a right to the head.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Bueno.
Bueno is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Steel is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Steel keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bueno's efforts to push away.
Steel tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steel lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bueno blocks an uppercut.

Bueno lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Bueno breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bueno tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Steel misses with an attempted mid kick.
Bueno moves forwards but Steel connects with a nice, crisp jab.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bueno misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Steel.
Steel feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bueno's calf.
Bueno falls off balance throwing a combination
and Steel counters with a low kick, right behind Bueno 's knee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that David Steel will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Steel catches Bueno with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A head kick from Steel lands but Bueno takes it in his stride.
Steel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bueno moves away.
Steel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Steel throws a series of punches but Bueno moves out of range.
Bueno scores with a decent looking hook.
Bueno will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A nice inside leg kick there by Steel. That's going to slow Bueno down.
Steel scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Bueno fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Steel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Steel pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Bueno is trying to break the clinch but Steel has him pressed against the cage.

Bueno jabs Steel to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Bueno tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Steel swivels and escapes.
Steel avoids a punch combination nicely.

Steel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bueno was well out of range. Poor timing from Steel.
Bueno throws out a loose jab but Steel uses good head movement to avoid it.

It looks like Taco Bueno has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Steel takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Steel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Bueno tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Steel defends well and Bueno ends up having to push Steel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
David Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taco Bueno.
Steel keeps control of Bueno as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Steel tries to kick Bueno off but Bueno keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Bueno working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bueno accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bueno looking to sit in guard and control but Steel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bueno is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Steel is aware though and is defending well.

Steel slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Steel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bueno has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Steel has managed to get both his arms back between Bueno's legs - danger averted.
Bueno wants to sweep here but Steel controlling him for the moment.

Steel is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bueno is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Steel stays in close to Bueno's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of David Steel.
Bueno dips to his left and cracks Steel with an uppercut!
Steel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Steel has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Steel there as he acknowledges the shot.
Bueno lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Bueno ducks under a wild hook from Steel.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Steel throws a half hearted mid kick.
Steel tries to land a front kick but Bueno steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Steel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Steel connects with a leg kick. Bueno looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Steel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bueno swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Steel misses with a straight left.
Bueno lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bueno throws a nice looking combination but Steel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Steel jabbing away but nothing is landing.

And that's the end of the fight!
Taco Bueno comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bueno has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
