Lapis comes to the cage accompanied by Once Solemn . Votava is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Stand Alone. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Votava avoids the body shot from Lapis.

Lapis clinches up with Votava and pushes him back against the cage.
Votava gets underhooks to prevent Lapis's takedown attempt.
Lapis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Votava pulls Lapis into guard.
Lapis trying to control but Votava is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Votava controls Lapis momentarily but Lapis frees himself.

Lapis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Votava sees it coming and defends easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Votava lands a nice hook to Lapis's body. Lapis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lapis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Votava is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lapis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lapis's back!

Andrey Lapis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Stanislav Votava wasn't active enough on the ground.

Votava clinches.

Votava is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lapis can't fight it off and eventually Votava manages to take the fight to the floor. Lapis looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lapis looking for a triangle here. Votava is fighting it but it looks tight! Lapis pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Votava is tapping out - this one is all over!

After the fight, Andrey Lapis was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
