Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buchanan cracks Sosa with a good jab.
Paul Buchanan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buchanan thows a body shot but no joy.
Sosa connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

and Buchanan moves into the clinch.
I was talking to Buchanan's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Buchanan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Sosa works on Buchanan's body with a couple of short punches.
Buchanan misses with some punches.
Buchanan works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Sosa makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Sosa tries to work over Buchanan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Buchanan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Sosa misses with the head strike.
Buchanan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sosa prevents it.
Buchanan swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Buchanan wants the takedown. Sosa is fighting it off but Buchanan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sosa's guard against the cage.

Sosa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Buchanan.
A punch lands to the side of Buchanan 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Good leg kick by Sosa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Nir Sosa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sosa looks to land a right hand but Buchanan moved out of range.
Sosa throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sosa lands with a thumping leg kick.
Buchanan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sosa.
Buchanan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sosa moves away.
Sosa lands a leg kick that knocks Buchanan off balance momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Buchanan dives in and grabs Sosa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sosa pushes down on Buchanan's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Buchanan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Buchanan throws a looping overhand right but Sosa ducks down to avoid it.
Sosa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Buchanan is looking to wear down Sosa with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sosa lands a big head kick that sends Buchanan tumbling to the mat! Sosa takes a step backwards and waves Buchanan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Buchanan is rocked!
It looks like Paul Buchanan has been cut.
Buchanan is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Sosa Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Buchanan is out cold, face down on the mat!
