Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Bulger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phil Harris has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joseph Bulger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phil Harris!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bulger tries for a takedown but Harris circles away easily

and Harris counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bulger!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Harris is looking to take a break and control but Bulger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Harris goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bulger has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Harris but great work by Bulger.
Bulger wants to control but Harris is keeping him busy.
Harris has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Phil Harris.
Bulger bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Harris's head backwards.
Harris fails to land with a series of punches.

Harris tries to close the distance and clinch but Bulger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Harris gets caught flat footed, as Bulger shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Harris is trying to keep Bulger in close.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bulger wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.

A close round but Phil Harris will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Sloppy strikes from Harris. Those never looked like landing.
Harris leaves Bulger with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bulger takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bulger takes a kick to the side of the head.

Harris gets a takedown into half guard.
Harris trying to control from Bulger's half guard. Bulger has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Bulger is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Harris wants to control from the top but Bulger keeps moving.
Harris is looking to pass into half guard but Bulger pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bulger is in guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bulger is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bulger trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Harris is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bulger trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Harris manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Bulger is looking to sweep but instead, Harris has passed into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris trying to mount his opponent but Bulger defends it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Harris is just content to waste time from the top position. Bulger takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Bulger seems keen to control Harris's posture.
Harris looking to pass the guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phil Harris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Harris misses with a leg kick.

Harris clinches with his opponent.
Harris tries to land knees in the clinch but Bulger avoids the damage to the body.
Harris lands an elbow inside that Bulger shrugs off.
Harris lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Harris tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bulger's elbow.
Harris pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Harris controlling the action here for a moment.

Harris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Harris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bulger but Bulger pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Harris shoots in looking for a takedown. Bulger tries to sprawl out of it but Harris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bulger manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bulger fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harris avoids it really well and circles away.
Harris looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Joseph Bulger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Harris.
Harris misses with a jab to the body

and Bulger counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Harris tries to get to full guard but Bulger has control of the leg.

Bulger is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Harris is refusing to be controlled, as Bulger sits in half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Harris manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bulger is controlling Harris's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Harris is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

I would just about give that final round to Phil Harris.
Well Harris has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
