Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francesco Stokes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dust Duster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Francesco Stokes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dust Duster!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Stokes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Duster is not content to let Stokes control the position.
Duster is looking for a sweep.
Duster is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Duster gets back to half guard.

Stokes is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Stokes is looking for a kimura but Duster is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stokes to get the leverage.

Duster actively working from the bottom here.

Stokes is working for a submission of some sort.
Stokes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Duster is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Stokes seems to be looking for submissions.

Stokes tries to stand but can't do so whilst Duster controls his leg.

Stokes is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Duster has managed to free his arm - good work.
Stokes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duster on the ground.
Duster is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Duster looking for submissions off his back.

Stokes wants to work for an arm triangle but Duster is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Duster gets back to full guard.
Stokes trying to stand up but can't free himself from Duster's guard.

Duster working for a triangle but Stokes defends it easily.

Duster looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Duster looks winded!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stokes won't allow Duster to sweep him here.
Stokes wants to get up but he can't break Duster's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Duster is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Stokes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Duster is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stokes is aware though and is defending well.

Stokes stands up from Duster's guard - Stokes perhaps looking for a knockout.

Stokes drives through with a takedown into Duster's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Stokes tries to stand but Duster is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duster is looking for a triangle but Stokes pushes his legs off easily.
Stokes postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Duster looking for a guillotine here but Stokes defends easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stokes distracts Duster with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dust Duster will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Stokes shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Duster manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Duster looking for a guillotine here but Stokes defends easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Duster is on top in guard.

Duster drops back looking for a leg! Stokes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stokes manages to kick Duster off! Duster jumps back into Stokes's guard.

Stokes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Duster doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Duster manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Stokes wants to stand and escape but Duster is having none of it.

Duster advances to half guard.
Stokes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stokes is trying to stand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Duster is looking for a kimura here.

Duster is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Duster passes to side control.
Stokes is looking to reverse the position.

Duster is trying to get an arm triangle but Stokes is defending well.

Duster is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stokes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Duster prevents Stokes from escaping the position.

Duster working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Stokes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stokes is looking for a sweep.
Stokes is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Duster asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Duster is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stokes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Duster has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Stokes is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Duster yanks on the arm and Stokes is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Duster.
