The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Avci closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Talley quickly recovers to half guard.
Avci looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Talley holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Talley kicks Avci off and gets back to his feet.

Talley pushes Avci up against the cage in a clinch.

A nice right hand lands inside from Talley.

Avci wants the takedown. Talley is fighting it off but Avci persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Talley's guard against the cage.

Talley has his feet on Avci's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Avci tries to land a leg kick but Talley saw it coming and moves away.

Talley gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Avci tries to sprawl but Talley drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Talley decides to stand up.

Talley gets a double leg takedown into Avci's guard.

Talley gets to his feet. Avci looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Talley moves into range and clinches up with Avci.
Avci is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Talley is keeping busy.
Talley prevents Avci from breaking the clinch.
Talley lands a hook to the side of the head.

Talley has hold of one of Avci's legs. Avci is fighting the takedown attempt but Talley gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Avci is working an open guard so Talley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Talley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Avci sprawls well initially but Talley persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Talley seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Talley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Talley maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Avci could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Talley has cracked it and Avci is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Talley!
