The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apple tries to close the distance and clinch but Berger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Apple wants to clinch up but Berger keeps it at a distance.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Apple has eaten all the pies!
Berger scores with a decent looking hook.

Berger jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Berger misses with a few strikes there.

Berger catches Apple napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Apple to the canvas!

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Berger working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Apple's head.
Apple is still in real trouble! Can Berger finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berger gets to his feet and stands over Apple, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Apple felt that one! Berger unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Apple from any more punishment!
