Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harry Beaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gracie Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beaver comes to the cage accompanied by Leave It to Beaver Theme. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Harry Beaver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gracie Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beaver gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Hunter drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Beaver gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Hunter pulls Beaver into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hunter wants to sweep here but Beaver controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hunter is trying to control the position but Beaver postures up.

Hunter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Beaver postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Beaver wants to pass the guard but Hunter is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beaver tries to stand but Hunter is controlling from the bottom.

Hunter throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Beaver escapes and throws Hunter's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Beaver cracks Hunter with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Hunter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Beaver wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Beaver is trying to get an arm triangle but Hunter is defending well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Hunter works his way to full guard. Good work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Beaver is working Hunter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Beaver lands a couple of elbows.

Hunter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Beaver defends it easily.
Beaver in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hunter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hunter has his foot on Beaver's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beaver works his way back into a safe position though.

Beaver lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Hunter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beaver can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Beaver chips away with some ground and pound.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Beaver throws an elbow that misses. Hunter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Beaver's guard. Nice move by Hunter!
Beaver wants to get back to his feet but Hunter is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hunter is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hunter stops Beaver from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Harry Beaver will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Beaver throws a looping overhand right but Hunter ducks down to avoid it.
Hunter wants to clinch up but Beaver keeps it at a distance.
Hunter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Beaver defends it nicely.

Hunter throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Beaver tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hunter is in Beaver's guard.
Hunter wants to pass the guard but Beaver is keeping the position.

Beaver has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hunter has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Hunter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Beaver after a bit of a struggle.

Hunter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Beaver after a bit of a struggle.

Hunter is breathing heavily.
Beaver misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hunter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

A left hand lands to the body for Beaver.

Beaver lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hunter backwards.
Beaver pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Beaver misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hunter.
Hunter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Beaver fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Beaver darts in and clinches Hunter up against the cage.

Beaver lands a right hand.
Hunter tries to score a body lock takedown but Beaver shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Beaver lands a big right hand that drops Hunter! The killer instinct kicks in and Beaver finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Beaver!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harry Beaver!
Harry Beaver decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
