Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Donald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph Joaquin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donald comes to the cage accompanied by Mac Miller - Donald Trump . Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ralph Joaquin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Joaquin enables Donald to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Joaquin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Donald seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Donald wants to stand but Joaquin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've been hearing that Donald has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Joaquin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Donald escapes and throws Joaquin's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Donald tries to advance to mount but Joaquin denies him.

Joaquin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Joaquin is trying to control the position but Donald postures up.

Donald throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Joaquin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Donald is in Joaquin's guard.

Donald shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Donald showed some decent athleticism there.

Joaquin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Donald seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Joaquin for as long as he can get away with.

Joaquin pushes Donald off but Donald dives into side control.

Donald decides to stand up, so the ref orders Joaquin to his feet.

Donald closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Joaquin quickly recovers to half guard.

Donald shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Joaquin is trying to defend but Donald finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Joaquin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Donald sprawls well initially but Joaquin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Joaquin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Joaquin seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Donald makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Donald.

Joaquin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Donald is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Joaquin, into his guard.
Donald is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Joaquin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Donald pulls his head out easily.

Donald moves into full mount! Joaquin won't be happy about that!

Donald get's back to his feet.

Donald shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Donald is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ronald Donald has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Joaquin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Donald did well to prevent Joaquin getting side control.

It looks like Joaquin is going to stand back up.
Joaquin is just content to waste time from the top position. Donald takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Joaquin won't allow Donald to sweep him here.
Donald might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
