Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brz Kucelj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Catch Em By Surprise. Brz Kucelj has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kenny Brandon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenny Brandon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brz Kucelj!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandon wants to clinch up but Kucelj keeps it at a distance.
Kucelj misses with a looping right.
Kucelj has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Brandon is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Kucelj takes a swing at Brandon's ribcage but misses.
Brandon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kucelj misses with a double jab
and Brandon counters with a body kick that stops Kucelj in his tracks momentarily.
Kucelj stuns Brandon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kucelj throws a front kick aimed at Brandon's knee but Brandon avoids it well.
Kucelj cracks Brandon with an open hand slap.
Brandon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Brandon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kucelj shoots for a takedown but Brandon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jab, jab by Kucelj - just one landing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kucelj drives through with a takedown into Brandon's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Kucelj looking to sit in guard and control but Brandon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kucelj wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Brandon's hips, looking to push off. But Brandon grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Kucelj screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Kenny Brandon!
