Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuba Boulwiha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drago has chosen Hearts on Fire-Rocky 4 as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yuba Boulwiha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rocky Drago!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Boulwiha is looking to land body kicks.
Boulwiha staying out of range there.
Good work by Drago as he checks the leg kick.
Drago slaps away a takedown attempt from Boulwiha, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Drago's coach down at Island Top Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Drago's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Rocky Drago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boulwiha bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Boulwiha has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Basics -LOD- in the buildup to the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Drago throws out a loose jab but Boulwiha uses good head movement to avoid it.
Drago connects with a single shot there.

Boulwiha avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Drago throws a hook but Boulwiha avoids it easily.
Drago is looking to clinch but Boulwiha is avoiding it.
Boulwiha takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Drago checks a leg kick nicely.

Boulwiha misses with a low kick.

Boulwiha ducks under a wild hook from Drago.
Boulwiha does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Drago connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Boulwiha takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Drago misses with the combination.
Drago fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boulwiha manages to avoid it.
Boulwiha takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Drago misses with a wild body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Boulwiha fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Drago is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rocky Drago dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Drago tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Boulwiha manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Drago misses with a series of wild punches.
Drago checks a low kick from Boulwiha.

Boulwiha keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boulwiha avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Rocky Drago seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The fighters circling - Drago throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Drago throws a big shot that misses.
Drago looks to land a left hand but Boulwiha moved out of range nicely.
Drago tries to clinch up but Boulwiha circles away and keeps his distance.

Drago misses with a wild body shot.
Drago throws a right and a left that both miss.
Boulwiha on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Drago lands a head shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Drago throws a nice looking combination but Boulwiha bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Drago lands a nice shot to the body.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Drago. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
The fighters circling - Drago throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Drago throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boulwiha.
Drago jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Boulwiha throws a solid leg kick but Drago takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Boulwiha.
Drago misses with a hook.

Boulwiha throws a leg kick but Drago sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Boulwiha gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Drago avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Drago rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boulwiha moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Drago misses with a straight right.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Boulwiha pivots, looking for a leg kick but Drago is out of range and Boulwiha settles back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rocky Drago showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Drago misses with a left hand

and Boulwiha counters with a takedown into side control.
Boulwiha tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Boulwiha lands a few punches from side control.

Boulwiha tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Boulwiha has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Boulwiha thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Boulwiha is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Drago is trying to escape and Boulwiha transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Drago is forced to tap! Nice work there by Boulwiha! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Yuba Boulwiha!
Yuba Boulwiha opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
