Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 59 - 27 - 7, fighting out of Helsinki, James Bomb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peyton Hillis!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Bomb. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bomb.


It looks like Peyton Hillis has been cut.
Bomb has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Athletic Advantage in the buildup to the fight.
Hillis blocks a head kick by Bomb.
Bomb gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Hillis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hillis told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Bomb lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bomb goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bomb tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hillis trying to land knees to the body.
Hillis blocks a body shot from Bomb.
Bomb has a couple of punches blocked by Hillis.
Bomb lands an elbow that stopped Hillis in his tracks for a moment.

Hillis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hillis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bomb feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hillis's calf.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bomb is looking to clinch but Hillis is avoiding it.

Bomb paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Bomb looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bomb fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hillis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Hillis counters with a two punch combo.

Hillis smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Bomb looks to score with a jab to the body but Hillis is just out of range.
Bomb throws a leg kick but Hillis checks it.
Bomb buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hillis throws a jab but it's blocked by Bomb.
Hillis misses with a head kick.
Bomb doesn't manage to clinch there - Hillis circles away.
Bomb lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Bomb connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Bomb walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hillis checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Bomb misses with a kick to the body.
Bomb fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hillis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bomb throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bomb misses with a low kick.
Hillis catches Bomb with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A lazy body kick from Bomb
and Hillis counters with a three punch combo that has Bomb backing up. Bomb nods at Hillis to acknowledge the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bomb tries to clinch there but Hillis circles away.
Bomb fakes the leg kick and cracks Hillis in the body.
Bomb showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hillis.
Bomb swings for the body but Hillis moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hillis jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bomb tries to work over Hillis's front leg with a kick but Hillis checks it.
Bomb scores with a spinning back kick!
Hillis cracks a nice hook into Bomb's ribs.
Bomb scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hillis doesn't seem bothered though.

Bomb tests Hillis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hillis takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bomb connects with an inside leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A solid leg kick lands there for Bomb.
A head kick misses from Bomb.
Hillis throws the left hand but Bomb avoids the punch easily.
A jab from Bomb finds it's way through Hillis's defenses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bomb misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bomb fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hillis manages to avoid it.
Bomb digs a good hook to Hillis's body.
Bomb tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hillis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
James Bomb is winning the standup battle so far.
Bomb throws a leg kick which misses Hillis's front leg but catches the back leg as Hillis tries to avoid it.
Bomb lands a lovely overhand right.
Bomb avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bomb throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hillis's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Bomb tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hillis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bomb misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hillis.
Hillis misses with a wild combination.

Bomb darts in and clinches Hillis up against the cage.
Bomb taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Bomb is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hillis can do to turn this around?
Hillis lands a knee to the body.
Bomb misses with a punch on the inside.
Hillis blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Bomb escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hillis walks into a stiff left hand from Bomb.

Bomb slips a straight right by Hillis.
Bomb throws a quick inside leg kick.
Bomb lands a nice hook to Hillis's body. Hillis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bomb thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hillis if he has to take too many more of those.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Bomb! Hillis is out on his feet! Bomb rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Hillis is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Hillis is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
