PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Turilli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manres comes into the arena with Aqualung - Jethro Tull blaring out of the sound system. Turilli has chosen krolithika as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ludwig Manres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turilli lands with an uppercut that bounces Manres off the cage and back into range.
Manres shoots in for a takedown but Turilli shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Manres with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Turilli to score with a decent uppercut.
Manres shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Turilli as he avoids it easily.

Turilli closes the distance and clinches.
Turilli lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Turilli is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Manres is defending well for now.

Manres manages to break the clinch.
Turilli tries to clinch up but Manres circles away and keeps his distance.
Turilli looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A swing and a miss from Turilli.
Turilli throws a good cross that connects.
Manres takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Turilli, right into the meat.
Manres gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Turilli gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Manres is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
