The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King blocks the body kick.
Upton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but King defends well and Upton ends up having to push King into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
King is trying to break free.
Upton goes for a takedown attempt but King pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Upton lands a big uppercut and King crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but King looks OK. Upton waves King back to his feet!

It looks like Luciano King has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Upton throws a body punch but King moves out of range.
Upton tries to land a front kick but King steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
King walks straight into a right hand from Upton - that's dropped him! Upton jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save King from any more punishment! King complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
