PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cable Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Reznick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reznick moves to clinch but Carson breaks away

and Carson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Reznick!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Reznick takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Carson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Reznick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Reznick tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee asks Carson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Carson prefers to stall for the moment though.

Carson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Reznick's shoulder. That is not cool.
Carson works to advance to full mount. Reznick defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Carson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reznick tries to avoid it but Carson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reznick to the ground. Reznick escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Carson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reznick walks away with a smile on his face. Carson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
