Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chalky White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Murray has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Murray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chalky White!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray throws an off balance right hand

and White counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
White connects with a couple of short punches.
Murray is trying to control the position from the bottom.
White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murray swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Murray looking to hit a scissor sweep but White is one step ahead there.
White with a flurry of punches that miss.
Murray tries to land a sweep but no joy.
White is looking to work some ground and pound but Murray has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
White throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

White tries to free his leg and advance position but Murray is retaining full guard.
Murray will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Murray regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from White.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Murray is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Boomerang!!, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

White throws an elbow but Murray slips to the side and avoids it well.

White has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
White throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Murray manages to get back to half guard.
White not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. White connects with a nice short shot to Murray's temple.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
White wants to pass the guard but Murray is defending well.
White is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Murray is hurt! He's hurt bad - White fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Murray from any more punishment! Congratulations to White! Great finish!
