Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javier Cruzado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Leduc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leduc has chosen Lose yourself as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Joe Leduc has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Javier Cruzado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Leduc!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruzado lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leduc circles away quickly and effectively.
Cruzado tries to bum rush Leduc with a series of wild strikes but Leduc uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Leduc has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Cruzado on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Leduc. Leduc obviously looking to wear him down.
Cruzado looks to throw the jab but Leduc is out of range.

Leduc throws a combination. Cruzado tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Leduc takes one to the chin there.
Cruzado moves away from the strike by Leduc.
Cruzado lands a head shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Leduc fakes the leg kick and cracks Cruzado in the body.
Cruzado throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Cruzado takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

and Leduc counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Leduc controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Leduc lands a head kick. Cruzado smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Cruzado's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Leduc connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cruzado scrambles back to his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Leduc cracks Cruzado with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Leduc has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Cruzado to stand back up!

Leduc has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Oh Cruzado is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Leduc takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cruzado seems to have got his legs back now.
Leduc keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Cruzado shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Leduc eats them both and turns towards Cruzado to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Leduc shoots in looking for a takedown but Cruzado manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Leduc's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Leduc. Cruzado does a little dance to reset his feet.

Leduc closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cruzado quickly recovers to half guard.

Leduc seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cruzado does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well Leduc has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
