Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sanjay Bhaskar!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bhaskar shoots in and gets a takedown into Galloway's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bhaskar prevents Galloway from getting back to his feet.
Bhaskar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bhaskar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Galloway has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bhaskar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bhaskar gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Bhaskar throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Dean Galloway has been cut.
Bhaskar misses with a low kick.
Bhaskar connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Bhaskar shoots in and bounces Galloway off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Galloway is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Galloway is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bhaskar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Galloway bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bhaskar's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Galloway gets caught napping as Bhaskar dives in and scores a takedown. Galloway manages to retain guard.

Galloway is trying to maintain the position but Bhaskar is very close to passing his half guard.
Bhaskar looks to land a strike but Galloway avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Bhaskar wants to get up but he can't break Galloway's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Galloway might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bhaskar gets to his feet. Galloway looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Bhaskar drives through with a takedown into Galloway's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

A slapping body kick lands there for Bhaskar.
Bhaskar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Galloway takes a kick to the side of the head.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sanjay Bhaskar wasn't active enough on the ground.

Both fighters circling a little - Bhaskar finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Galloway is bucking up trying to escape but Bhaskar cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Galloway manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bhaskar manages to get himself to full guard.

Galloway drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bhaskar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Galloway has Bhaskar in his guard.

Well Bhaskar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
