Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gilbert Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phol Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold misses with a wild combination.
Hunt scores with a hook.
Gold misses with a body kick.
We've been hearing reports that Gold has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Gold throws a leg kick
and Hunt counters with a slapping leg kick.
Gold throws a push kick but Hunt slaps the foot to one side.
Gold on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Hunt thows a body shot but no joy.

Gold takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hunt has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hunt fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gold looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hunt throws a right hand that Gold ducks under and follows up with a left that Gold also avoids with ease.
Hunt connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Hunt cracks Gold with a good jab.
Hunt throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hunt buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Hunt cracks Gold with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Hunt ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hunt is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gold had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Hunt knocks out Gold with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Hunt before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Hunt picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Phol Hunt decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
