Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cung Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Martinez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Emperor's Dawn. Le is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Untouchable . Richard Martinez is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le doesn't manage to clinch there - Martinez circles away.
Le dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Martinez. That did some damage!
Cung Le seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martinez bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Le's head.
Martinez tries a low kick but Le avoids it.
We've been hearing reports that Martinez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Le throws a half hearted mid kick.
Le misses with a looping right.
Martinez takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Le gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Martinez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Martinez is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Le utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Le manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Martinez manages to get himself to full guard.
Martinez is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Le frees his head nicely. Oh but Martinez has switched to an armbar! Le is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

After the fight, Richard Martinez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
