The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaney shoots in looking for a takedown. Von Hayek tries to sprawl out of it but Chaney keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Von Hayek manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A punch lands to the side of Chaney 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Chaney has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Von Hayek.
Von Hayek pushes Chaney away with a front kick.
Von Hayek leaves Chaney with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chaney darts in trying to clinch
and Von Hayek counters with a nice low kick that buckles Chaney's knee momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chaney walks forward, straight into a front kick from Von Hayek.
Chaney looks winded!
Von Hayek lands a nice leg kick that just misses Chaney's sensitive parts.
Von Hayek chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Von Hayek connects with a leg kick. Chaney looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Von Hayek plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like James Chaney has been cut.
Chaney is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Von Hayek scores with the left hand. Chaney knows he should have avoided that one.
A slapping leg kick lands for Von Hayek.
Von Hayek lands a big head kick that sends Chaney tumbling to the mat! Von Hayek takes a step backwards and waves Chaney back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Chaney is rocked!

Von Hayek lands a big right hook! Chaney looks hurt but is still standing! Von Hayek lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Chaney falls down and Von Hayek dives in with a huge hammer fist! Chaney's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Von Hayek runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Darc Von Hayek!
