Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rejinaldo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Whisper Welker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Roy Jones - Can't be touched. Whisper Welker told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Welker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A clash of legs there as Welker blocks the low kick.
A shot to the body from Welker misses
letting Silva counter with a right hand.
Silva blocks a jab.
Welker closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Silva quickly recovers to half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Silva wants to control but Welker is keeping busy and won't allow it.

and Welker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.

Silva lands a nice shot that snaps Welker's head back.
Welker lets loose with a powerful body kick. Silva will feel that in the morning.
Welker throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Silva goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

A nice leg kick lands there from Welker.

Welker cracks the inside of Silva's front leg.
Welker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silva.
Welker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Silva drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Welker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Welker somewhat.

A chopping leg kick lands by Welker.
Welker shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Welker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rejinaldo Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Whisper Welker.

Silva tries to clinch but Welker is having none of it.

Silva takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Welker fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Silva checks it well.

Silva chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Welker can pounce on him.
Welker takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Welker throws a solid leg kick but Silva takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Welker.
Silva sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Welker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Welker showed some decent athleticism there.

Welker is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Silva looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Silva has hold of Welker's hands but Welker slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Welker is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer.

Silva wants to hold on but Welker pushes him away.

Whisper Welker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Welker pounces like a tiger and cracks Silva with a vicious hook! Silva is down but not out! Welker follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
