Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Renato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuma Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Renato comes into the arena with I Want My Tears Back blaring out of the sound system. Nelson has chosen The Sound of Silence as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nelson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Renato moves away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Nelson. Renato does a little dance to reset his feet.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Renato lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nelson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nelson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Nelson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Renato is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nelson throws out a loose jab but Renato uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nelson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Nelson might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Renato has got the better of the exchanges.

Nelson is aggressively charging in as Renato backs up avoiding any damage. Renato tosses out a jab and Nelson runs right into it face first! Nelson is out cold! Renato dropped down on all fours and is barking in Nelson's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

A relieved looking Tiago Renato thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
