Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lance Domingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Domingo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Smoke Serpent "Jui-Jitsu". Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lance Domingo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Wilkins!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Domingo looks to land a body kick but Wilkins moved away.
Wilkins bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Domingo's head backwards.
Domingo blocks a jab.
Domingo on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Domingo misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Wilkins connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wilkins jabs Domingo right on the nose. Domingo blinks but takes it well.
Domingo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wilkins slips a jab from Domingo.
Domingo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Domingo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Wilkins closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Domingo quickly recovers to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Wilkins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wilkins is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Domingo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Domingo darts in looking for a takedown but Wilkins gets double underhooks and turns Domingo into the cage.

Wilkins throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Domingo on the side of the head.

Domingo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wilkins fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Wilkins ducks under a wild hook from Domingo.

Domingo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wilkins manages to avoid it.

Domingo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Domingo lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Domingo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Domingo drops his hands momentarily and Wilkins takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Domingo throws a hook but Wilkins avoids it easily.
Wilkins lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Domingo on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Wilkins tries for a takedown but Domingo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Domingo has been working on his balance at Johny Fighting Temple, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Wilkins.

Wilkins has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Wilkins wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Wilkins throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Domingo on the side of the head.
Wilkins leaves Domingo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Domingo throws a solid leg kick but Wilkins takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Domingo.
Domingo looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Wilkins lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Wilkins is working for a kimura but Domingo is defending it quite comfortably.

Wilkins looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Wilkins has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wilkins is landing with some decent strikes but Domingo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Wilkins avoids the attempt from Domingo to control.
Domingo is bucking up trying to escape but Wilkins cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Wilkins! Domingo is hurt baaadly! Wilkins is firing away with more strikes - Domingo is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
