The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saur shoots in for a takedown but Horn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Horn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saur swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Horn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Saur takes a kick to the side of the head.
Saur fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Saur drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Saur is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Horn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Horn can do anything to dispel that myth.

Saur wants to work for an arm triangle but Horn is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Horn is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Saur pulls his head out easily.
Horn is looking for a sweep. Saur is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
