PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jake Lamotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Martel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamotta kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is yes. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Lamotta!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 45 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Charles Martel!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamotta fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Martel avoids it really well and circles away.
Martel throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lamotta takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lamotta shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Martel sprawls well. Martel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lamotta gets slowly back to his feet.
Martel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lamotta moves away.
Lamotta walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Martel stuns Lamotta with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Martel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lamotta looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

That was a close round but Jake Lamotta did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
