Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ted Manning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies misses with a series of wild punches.
Davies tries a head kick but it misses.

Davies has taken the fight to the clinch.
Manning really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Davies is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Manning gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Manning pulls guard effortlessly.
Davies prevents Manning from getting back to his feet.
Davies must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Manning escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davies gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Davies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Manning. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Manning is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manning striking off his back but it's not causing Davies any problems.

Manning wants to get back to his feet but Davies is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Davies is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Manning shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davies as he avoids it easily.
Manning is breathing heavily.

Davies darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davies is pressing down on Manning's thigh, looking to free his foot. Manning is holding on for now.
Davies slips a nice elbow through Manning's hands, connecting with Manning's forehead.

Davies working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Manning is looking to escape.

Davies is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Manning is just riding it out for now. Davies eventually gives up the hold.
Manning wants to get back to his feet.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Davies lands a nice short elbow.
Davies looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Manning with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Oh Manning is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Manning is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Davies is controlling him well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davies is scoring with a succession of shots from the back. Manning is covering up - he's had enough and the ref steps in to end the fight!

A less than humble Rich Davies misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
