Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dre Kilonee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, David Petrasek!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kilonee shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kilonee throwing shots but Petrasek is blocking nicely.
Kilonee sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Petrasek is staying active underneath Kilonee, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Well, if Kilonee is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dre Kilonee wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Kilonee wants to control the pace but Petrasek is squirming around nicely.
Petrasek tries to lock up and control but Kilonee gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Petrasek can't escape the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kilonee manages to capitalize on a mistake by Petrasek to take his back!

Petrasek feints and as Kilonee raises his hands in defense, Petrasek changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kilonee wants to sweep here but Petrasek controlling him for the moment.

Petrasek shoots in and gets a takedown into Kilonee's guard.
Petrasek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kilonee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Petrasek tries to stand but Kilonee is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close second round but David Petrasek will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Kilonee moves in looking to clinch but Petrasek pushes him off.
Petrasek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kilonee paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sloppy strikes from Petrasek. Those never looked like landing.

Kilonee shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Petrasek napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Petrasek closes the distance and clinches up with Kilonee, looking for a takedown. Petrasek pushes Kilonee against the cage but Kilonee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A nice combination there by Petrasek.

Petrasek is refusing to be controlled, as Kilonee sits in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Petrasek keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Petrasek avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kilonee.

Kilonee would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Petrasek is looking for a triangle but Kilonee pushes his legs off easily.

Petrasek working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kilonee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kilonee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Petrasek is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Petrasek has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kilonee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kilonee passes Petrasek's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
