The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krapala lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Slone takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Krapala scores with a leg kick.
Krapala fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Slone.
Slone takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Krapala connects with a looping right hand.
Slone drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Slone takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Krapala fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Slone has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Slone has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Krapala gets through Slone's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Still in the clinch, Krapala scores with a nice short uppercut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Krapala takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Slone has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Krapala avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Slone is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Krapala gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Tuma Krapala has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chad Slone.
