Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elisha Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chukwuhaenye Onyinyechukwuka!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Onyinyechukwuka fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Onyinyechukwuka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Carter counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Onyinyechukwuka avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Carter showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Onyinyechukwuka wants to stand up but Carter is controlling him.

Carter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Onyinyechukwuka keeps working.
Carter is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Onyinyechukwuka is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Onyinyechukwuka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carter swivels and escapes.

Onyinyechukwuka darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Carter closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Onyinyechukwuka quickly recovers to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Onyinyechukwuka tries to roll over but Carter keeps him under control.
Carter takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Onyinyechukwuka is trying to control but Carter manages to pass to mount!
Onyinyechukwuka is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Onyinyechukwuka is breathing heavily.
Onyinyechukwuka tries to hold on but Carter postures up.
Onyinyechukwuka is desperately trying to improve his position but Carter has a good base and remains in mount.

Onyinyechukwuka doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Carter decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Onyinyechukwuka's guard.
Onyinyechukwuka wants to get back to his feet but Carter passes into half guard.
Carter landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Carter is trying to work for a kimura but Onyinyechukwuka is defending well.
Carter tries to pass to full mount but Onyinyechukwuka defends it.

Carter lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Carter is stalling here. Onyinyechukwuka is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Carter seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Onyinyechukwuka has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Carter gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Onyinyechukwuka is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Onyinyechukwuka is working for an americana but Carter has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Onyinyechukwuka was thinking about the submission.

Carter manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Onyinyechukwuka is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Carter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Chukwuhaenye Onyinyechukwuka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Elisha Carter showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
