Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leonard Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Itse Perkele!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkele thumps Jenkins with a low kick.
Jenkins looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Perkele sizes up Jenkins with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jenkins has a takedown stuffed.
Perkele lands a front kick.
Perkele throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Itse Perkele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perkele throws a series of punches but Jenkins moves out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Perkele lands a jab to the nose.
Perkele turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Jenkins counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jenkins throws a big right hand that misses.
Perkele seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Jenkins wants to control from the top but Perkele keeps moving.
Jenkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Leonard Jenkins has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Perkele lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jenkins has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jenkins and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jenkins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Perkele sprawls well initially but Jenkins persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Perkele is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jenkins throws a strike but Perkele avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Perkele really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jenkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jenkins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We're going to have a standup here because Leonard Jenkins wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Itse Perkele is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Perkele dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Jenkins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Perkele will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Perkele finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Perkele tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jenkins is able to avoid easily.

Perkele felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Perkele can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jenkins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jenkins lands in his opponent's guard.
Jenkins is looking to work some ground and pound but Perkele has wrist control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jenkins wants to control from the top but Perkele keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Leonard Jenkins will probably get the nod.
That's time! Jenkins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Jenkins displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Perkele throws out the jab.

Perkele ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jenkins moves away.
Jenkins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Perkele manages to avoid it.
Perkele walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jenkins checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Itse Perkele seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Perkele throws a hook to the side of Jenkins's head but Jenkins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Perkele dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Perkele lands a leg kick that knocks Jenkins off balance momentarily.
Perkele is looking to slow Jenkins down with leg kicks.

and Jenkins counters with a takedown into side control.
Jenkins wants to control but Perkele is keeping him busy.
Perkele manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jenkins's best efforts.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jenkins is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Itse Perkele wasn't active enough on the ground.

and Jenkins decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Perkele's guard.
Perkele has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jenkins has passed into side control.
Perkele is not content to let Jenkins control the position.
Perkele is looking for a sweep.

Jenkins lands some shots froms side control.
Perkele tries to buck Jenkins off but Jenkins is having none of it.
Perkele keeps trying to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jenkins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Perkele is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Itse Perkele.
I think Perkele has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
