Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugene Elephant !
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potasu swings for the body but Elephant moves out of range.
Elephant misses with a leg kick.
Elephant has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Potasu is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Elephant throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Elephant moves forwards but Potasu connects with a nice, crisp jab.


It looks like Eugene Elephant has been cut.
Potasu lands the left hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Elephant looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Elephant throws a lazy right hand but Potasu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Elephant blocks a jab.
Potasu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Elephant throws out the jab.
Potasu works the jab nicely.


That has opened up Eugene Elephant 's cut even more.
Potasu throws a shot from downtown. Elephant moves away and avoids it.
Potasu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Elephant .

Elephant takes the fight into the clinch.
Potasu tries to throw a body punch but Elephant avoids it by throwing Potasu back against the cage.
I was talking to Potasu's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Elephant has a couple of punches blocked by Potasu.
Potasu is trying to break the clinch but Elephant is controlling him.

Elephant gets through Potasu's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Elephant just misses with a elbow thrown towards Potasu's brow.

Elephant can't find room to land a body shot as Potasu controls the action.

Elephant tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Potasu avoids it.

Elephant tries to pull guard but Potasu forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Potasu trying to control the position but instead, Elephant has worked for underhooks and has pushed Potasu into the cage.

Potasu blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Potasu takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Elephant prevents Potasu from breaking the clinch.

Potasu looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Elephant scores with a shot to the side of Potasu's head.
Potasu tries to break free but Elephant pushes him back against the cage.
Elephant lands a body punch in the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maybe Potasu would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

Elephant closes the distance and clinches.

Elephant lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Potasu backwards.

Potasu gets through Elephant 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Elephant .


Potasu is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Elephant creates a bit of distance and unloads a huge uppercut that knocks Potasu out cold! The ref dives in to break up the two fighters! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eugene Elephant !
As Eugene Elephant got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Thanks for a fine fight'.
