Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Ellis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vlady Dohy!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dohy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Dohy misses with a left hand
and Ellis counters with a head kick. That will keep Dohy thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Dohy misses with a two punch combination.
Dohy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ellis.
Vlady Dohy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dohy throws a left and a right that both miss

and Ellis counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ellis.
Dohy wants to stand but Ellis is controlling the position.
Ellis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Dohy has his hands on Ellis's head, controlling the position.

Ellis stands up and waves to Dohy to follow him.

Dohy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ellis has picked Dohy up - he's going for a ride! Ellis dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Ellis with the ground and pound but Dohy uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Ellis stops Dohy from standing up.
Ellis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Ellis decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ellis enables Dohy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ellis manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ellis wants to sweep but no luck.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dohy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dohy throws a head kick that misses

and Ellis counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Dohy!

Dohy is looking to regain half guard here but Ellis keeps moving and retains side control.
Ellis in side control, throwing shots but Dohy defends.
Ellis throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Dohy works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Ellis is trying to control the action in half guard but Dohy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Ellis throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Dohy to regain full guard.
Dohy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Dohy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ellis is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ellis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dohy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ellis throws a big elbow that misses.
Dohy working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ellis.
Ellis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dohy's head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dohy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Dohy throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Dohy is just content to waste time from the top position. Ellis takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Ellis pulls Dohy in close to prevent any damage.
Dohy tries to stand but Ellis is controlling from the bottom.

Dohy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ellis's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dohy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ellis is proving hard to escape from.
Ellis is pulling down on Dohy's head. It's preventing any offense from Dohy, at least for the moment.
Ellis throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Ellis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dohy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vlady Dohy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

letting Ellis counter with a right hand.
Ellis tries to close the distance and clinch but Dohy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck for Ellis with that takedown attempt.

Dohy has closed the distance and engaged Ellis in a clinch.
Ellis is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dohy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Ellis lands a takedown into guard.
Ellis stays in close to Dohy's body and controls the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dohy scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Dohy throws a lazy head kick
letting Ellis counter with a right hand.

Ellis pulls Dohy in close to his closed guard and prevents Dohy from doing any damage or advancing position.
Ellis scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
Dohy throws a big right hand that misses.

Ellis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dohy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dohy's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Ellis keeping moving, preventing Dohy from controlling successfully.

Dohy drops back looking for a leg! Ellis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ellis manages to kick Dohy off! Dohy jumps back into Ellis's guard.

Dohy stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Dohy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ellis moves out of range of the leg kick from Dohy.
Ellis fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dohy wants to get back to his feet but Ellis is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well Dohy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
