Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Herman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien VB (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herman dives in for a single leg takedown but VB sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
VB's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Herman doesn't manage to clinch there - VB circles away.
VB misses with the combination.
Herman misses with a takedown attempt - VB sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Herman on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by VB. VB obviously looking to wear him down.
VB connects with an inside leg kick.
VB turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
VB throws a series of punches but Herman avoids them all with ease.
VB circles away from the clinch attempt.

VB fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Herman checks it well.
Herman moves out of range as VB throws a body kick.
Herman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
VB is being controlled here.
VB is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Herman asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Herman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
VB is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on VB's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

VB is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Herman has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Herman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, VB has escaped the position, nice work there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
VB is letting Herman control him for a moment.
Herman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Herman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Herman is trying to get an arm triangle but VB is defending well.
VB wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jacob Herman will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
VB throws a leg kick but Herman sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A head kick misses from VB.
VB throws a low kick, looking for Herman's leg but Herman calmly moves out of range.
Herman dives in and grabs VB's left leg, looking for a takedown. VB pushes down on Herman's head and hops out.
VB shoots in for a takedown but Herman shows good takedown defense.
VB walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Herman checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Herman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging VB to the ground. Herman is now in VB's guard.
VB wants to stand up but Herman is controlling him.
VB looking to hit a scissor sweep but Herman is one step ahead there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Herman checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Herman throws a head kick that misses.
VB looks for a takedown but Herman sprawls well.
Herman is looking to clinch but VB is avoiding it.
VB throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice takedown defense from VB. No joy for Herman on that attempt.

VB is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Some bone on bone action there as Herman checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from VB is defended easily by Herman.
Jacob Herman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien VB.
VB is breathing heavily.
Herman darts in and clinches VB up against the cage.
Herman throws a punch but it's blocked by VB.
VB tries to circle away but Herman has him pinned against the cage.

Herman tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and VB avoids it.
Herman swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Herman tried to land a shot to the body but connects with VB's elbow.
Herman fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
VB blocks an uppercut.
VB breaks from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jacob Herman will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

VB wants to get back to striking at distance but Herman won't allow it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Herman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jacob Herman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Herman tries to close the distance and clinch but VB swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Herman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

VB misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Herman.

Herman will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning VB up against the cage.

Damien VB comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
