Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Terry Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Teixeira will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Terry Moon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sam Teixeira!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teixeira shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Teixeira trying to control from half guard but Moon is working away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Moon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sam Teixeira wasn't active enough on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sam Teixeira hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Teixeira shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Moon is trying to defend but Teixeira finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Moon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Moon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Teixeira, pushing him back against the cage.

Moon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Teixeira wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Teixeira's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Teixeira closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Moon quickly recovers to half guard.

Teixeira stalling away here and it's allowed Moon to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Teixeira decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Moon, up you get!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Moon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Teixeira pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Teixeira tries a head kick but it misses.

Teixeira throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Moon was covering up waiting for the punch and Teixeira finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Teixeira would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sam Teixeira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Teixeira closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Teixeira is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Moon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Moon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Teixeira has him pressed against the cage.
Moon tries to land a knee to the head but Teixeira blocks with his arms.
Teixeira lands a body shot in the clinch.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Teixeira's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Moon tries to close the distance and clinch but Teixeira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Teixeira bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Teixeira is staying tight to Moon's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sam Teixeira.

A lull in the action here as Teixeira stalls from top position.

Sam Teixeira comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Teixeira has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
