Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Bowie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Terell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bowie's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 300 Violin Orchestra - Jorge Quintero. Terell has chosen Let's Go-Lil Jon ft. Trick Daddy and Twista as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raphael Bowie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mason Terell!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Steve Erwin and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bowie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Terell did well to prevent Bowie getting side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Terell wants to control but Bowie is keeping busy.
Bowie prevents Terell from improving his position.
Bowie is looking to advance position but Terell won't allow it.

Bowie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Terell wants to improve his position but Bowie is controlling well.

Terell actively working from the bottom here.
Bowie is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Bowie wants to work for an arm triangle but Terell is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bowie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Terell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bowie has managed to get both his arms back between Terell's legs - danger averted.
Bowie distracts Terell with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Terell throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bowie escapes and throws Terell's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Bowie tries to move to mount but Terell blocks the move with his legs.
Terell manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Terell is looking for a sweep. Bowie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bowie seems to be working for a kimura but Terell defends the submission attempt.
Terell manages to get to full guard.

Terell isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bowie stacks Terell on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bowie!

Bowie in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Terell is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bowie's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Terell is not content to let Bowie control the position.
Terell is looking to control Bowie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Terell avoid being mounted?

That was a close round but I would say that Raphael Bowie will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Bowie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Terell napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Terell is looking to reverse the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mason Terell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bowie has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
