The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Quo gets through Reyes's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Benny Reyes's cut is getting worse.
Reyes prevents a takedown attempt there.
Reyes tries to break free but Quo pushes him back against the cage.
Quo stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Reyes wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Quo works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Quo passes Reyes's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Quo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Reyes defends it well.
Reyes is pressing down on Quo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Reyes wants to sweep but no luck.

Quo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reyes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Quo has managed to get both his arms back between Reyes's legs - danger averted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Quo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Quo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Quo stopping the sweep attempt from Reyes.

Quo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Quo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Quo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Benny Reyes's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
