Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Joaozinho Gurgel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Wild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wild comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Type O Negative - Love You to Death kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurgel looks to throw the jab but Wild is out of range.
Wild takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wild blocks a jab.
Wild looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Wild swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Gurgel counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wild.
Wild moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Joaozinho Gurgel has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gurgel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gurgel takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gurgel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gurgel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Gurgel throws out a loose jab but Wild uses good head movement to avoid it.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Wild.
Gurgel is breathing heavily.

Wild jabs Gurgel to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Wild connects with a right hand. Gurgel shakes it off.
Wild lands a jab to the head.
Wild throws a nice inside leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wild throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Wild cracks Gurgel with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Gurgel get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Gurgel looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

Joaozinho Gurgel's cut is getting worse.
Wild keeps Gurgel at a distance using the push kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Wild.
Wild closes the distance and catches Gurgel with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Gurgel is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Gurgel is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Gurgel is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Wild takes it!
