PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shang Chi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacque Schtrappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schtrappe has chosen Nitzer Ebb - Violent Playground as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schtrappe connects with a leg kick. Chi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Schtrappe.
Schtrappe fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Schtrappe with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Schtrappe smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That kick from Chi tenderised Schtrappe's leg. Schtrappe is trying to keep his angry face on.
Chi lands a leg kick that knocks Schtrappe off balance momentarily.

Schtrappe looks to score with a jab to the body but Chi is just out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters circling - Chi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Schtrappe walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chi checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Chi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Chi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Schtrappe checks it well.
Schtrappe lands a nice hook to Chi's body. Chi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Chi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Chi is looking to slow Schtrappe down with leg kicks.
Schtrappe jabs Chi right on the nose. Chi blinks but takes it well.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Schtrappe has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Chi looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Chi wants to clinch up but Schtrappe keeps it at a distance.

Chi is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Chi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Schtrappe finds it's way round the side to connect with Chi's head.

Schtrappe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Crunch! Schtrappe slams his shin into Chi's torso.
Schtrappe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Schtrappe digs a good body shot into Chi's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Schtrappe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chi. That did some damage!
Shang Chi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schtrappe turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Schtrappe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Schtrappe cracks Chi with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Schtrappe connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Chi's hands.

Chi is rocked!
and Schtrappe counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Chi! He's just covering up as Schtrappe starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
