Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rance Hunsicker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk comes to the cage accompanied by Today is a Good day to Die. Hunsicker is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Inner Circle - Bad Boys. Thomas Hawk could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rance Hunsicker's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rance Hunsicker!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk wants to clinch.
Hawk tries to clinch but Hunsicker is having none of it.
Hunsicker shoots in but no luck this time.
Hawk tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunsicker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hawk could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hunsicker looking to score a takedown here. Hawk is defending well but Hunsicker drives through and ends up in Hawk's guard.
Hunsicker throws a big right hand that misses.
Hawk tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hunsicker drops back looking for a leg! Hawk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hawk manages to kick Hunsicker off! Hunsicker jumps back into Hawk's guard.
Hawk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hawk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hunsicker on the ground.

Hunsicker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hawk wants to stand but Hunsicker is controlling the position.
Hawk looking to control.

Hunsicker working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Hunsicker is looking to work some ground and pound but Hawk has wrist control.
Hawk is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hunsicker looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunsicker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hunsicker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hunsicker prevents Hawk from getting back to his feet.
Hawk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunsicker is one step ahead there.
Hawk keeping full guard, as Hunsicker tries to pass.

Hunsicker with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hunsicker is standing up over Hawk. Hawk looks to escape but Hunsicker dives into side control.
Hawk manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Hawk wants to get back to full guard but Hunsicker has passed into side control.
Hawk is breathing heavily.
Hawk tries to improve position but can't.

Hunsicker is trying to get an arm triangle but Hawk is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hawk wants to get back to his feet but Hunsicker drags him back down.
Hunsicker wants to control but Hawk is keeping him busy.

Hunsicker tries for a kimura but Hawk is defending well.
Hunsicker landing a few strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hunsicker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hunsicker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hawk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Hawk's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hunsicker scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hawk to see if he's OK.
Hunsicker prevents Hawk from escaping the position.
Hawk on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hawk tries to get out of the position.
Hunsicker has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Hawk trying desperately to get to his feet.
Hawk is trying to escape the mount.
Hunsicker putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Hunsicker working for a guillotine from mount but Hawk is in no mood to give up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hawk tries to lock up and control but Hunsicker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hunsicker wants to control the pace but Hawk is squirming around nicely.

Hunsicker is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Hawk is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rance Hunsicker!
A victorious Rance Hunsicker thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Thomas Hawk spoke after the fight, saying '/salute the FANS, I wouldn't be here if YOU weren't Entertained by it. /bow in respect to my Opponent'.
