The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hauki shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Aikawa misses with a takedown attempt - Hauki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hauki, as that shot connected.
Hauki thows a body shot but no joy.
Hauki stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hauki wants it to stay on the feet.

and Aikawa counters with a takedown into side control.
Aikawa has control of an arm but Hauki manages to advance to Aikawa's back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Aikawa is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Dragon Cage Training Camp, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Aikawa takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Hauki lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Hauki connects with a right hand. Aikawa shakes it off.
Aikawa shoots in looking for a takedown. Hauki tries to sprawl out of it but Aikawa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hauki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hauki dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Aikawa. That did some damage!

Hauki steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Aikawa is out on his feet! Hauki sets himself and nearly takes Aikawa's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
