Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gal has managed to clinch.
Gal misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Myers.
Myers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Myers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gal uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Myers.
Gal fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Myers manages to avoid it.
Gal gets caught napping as Myers dives in and scores a takedown. Gal manages to retain guard.
Gal looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Myers trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gal's guard.
Myers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Myers wants to stand and escape but instead Gal has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Gal passes into half guard.
Gal is pressing down on Myers's thigh, looking to free his foot. Myers is holding on for now.
Gal seems to be looking for submissions.
Gal lands with a punch from half guard.

Gal content to control rather than advance.
It looks like Gal might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Gal is trying to control the action in half guard but Myers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gal tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Myers.
Well, if Gal is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Let's hope that Gal has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Nik Gal hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Myers shoots in and gets a takedown into Gal's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gal is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Myers is aware though and is defending well.
Myers tries to stand but Gal is controlling from the bottom.
Gal wants to stand and escape but Myers is having none of it.

Myers wants to control from the top but Gal keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gal wants to stand but Myers is controlling the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Rickie Myers just wasn't active enough.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gal doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Gal landing strikes from the mount and Myers is in trouble!

Myers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gal on the ground.

Myers is wriggling around trying to escape.

Myers tries to reverse the position but Gal maintains control.
Myers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Myers is bucking up trying to escape but Gal cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Oh Myers is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Myers is trying to reverse the position but instead Gal has taken his back - oops!
Gal working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Myers is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Gal has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Myers taps out!
