Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donnell Webb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Heins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Heins's choice of entrance music: Eye of the Tiger. Henry Heins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donnell Webb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Heins!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Heins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Webb throws Heins to one side and escapes!
Webb keeps the fight on the outside.
Heins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Heins shoots in and bounces Webb off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Webb keeping moving, preventing Heins from controlling successfully.

Heins avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Webb looking for a sweep. Not yet Webb, not yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Webb manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Heins manages to get himself to full guard.

Webb decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Heins, up you get!
Heins closes the distance looking to clinch
and Webb counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Webb holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Heins tightens his grip and picks Webb up, before dumping him to the ground. Webb manages to land in guard.
Heins in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Webb manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Heins gets a double leg takedown into Webb's guard.
Heins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Webb wriggles free and stands up.
Webb really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Heins wants to clinch.
Heins scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Webb doesn't seem bothered though.

Heins drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Webb pulls Heins in close to prevent any damage.
Heins has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Webb is proving hard to escape from.

We're going to have a standup here because Donnell Webb wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Heins scores with a jab to the jaw.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Heins scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Webb gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Webb regains full guard. Nicely done.

Webb kicks Heins off and gets to his feet.
Heins looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Webb is looking to clinch.
Webb tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Heins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Heins fails in his attempt to clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Heins looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Henry Heins will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Heins misses with a head kick.
Heins throws a series of punches but Webb moves out of range.
Webb avoids the head kick by Heins.
Heins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Heins closes the distance but Webb moves to the side

and Webb counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Webb.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Webb takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Webb is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Heins is defending well.

Heins jumps guard and drags Webb to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Webb controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Webb decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Webb gets caught flat footed, as Heins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Heins is breathing heavily.

Webb is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Heins presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Webb decides to pull guard.
Heins wants to pass the guard but Webb is keeping the position.
Webb trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Heins is fighting to break Webb's control of his arms but Webb is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Webb has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Heins doesn't defend quickly enough and Webb has managed to lock this one up! Can Heins escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Webb on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Donnell Webb!
