Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Steel Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chad Williams!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Williams tries for a takedown but Penn circles away easily
and Penn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Penn slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Steel Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Williams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Penn was covering up waiting for the punch and Williams finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Williams is stalling in the full guard.
Penn is looking to stand up but Williams isn't so interested in that idea.

Williams wants to control from the top but Penn keeps moving.

Williams drops back looking for a leg! Penn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Penn manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Penn's guard.
Williams is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Williams passes Penn's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams seems to be looking for submissions.
Williams seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Penn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Williams is looking for a kimura but Penn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Williams to get the leverage.
Williams is trying to control the action in half guard but Penn is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Penn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Williams on the ground.
Williams works his way into side control.
Williams tries to move into full mount but can't pass Penn's legs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chad Williams dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Penn darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Penn jabs Williams to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Penn with a nice cross.


It looks like Chad Williams has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Penn lands a leg kick that knocks Williams off balance momentarily.
BOOM! Penn lands a beautiful left hook that drops Williams. Williams tries to recover but Penn is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Williams lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steel Penn!
During a confident post fight interview, Steel Penn thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
