The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Tolonen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Severn throws out the jab.
Tolonen looks to throw the jab but Severn is out of range.
We've been told by Tolonen's head coaches at Athletic Advantage that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Severn throws a jab when Tolonen was well out of range.
Tolonen cracks Severn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Severn throws a hook to the side of Tolonen's head but Tolonen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tolonen lands with a nice body punch.
Severn throws a chopping leg kick but Tolonen manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Tolonen misses with a straight right.
Tolonen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Severn misses with a straight right.
Severn throws a half hearted mid kick.
Tolonen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tolonen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Iiro Tolonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tolonen tries to bum rush Severn with a series of wild strikes but Severn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tolonen moves out of range as Severn strikes.

Severn connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Severn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Tolonen jabs Severn right on the nose. Severn blinks but takes it well.
A low kick from Tolonen is predictable there
and Severn counters with a straight right hand.
Severn jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Severn scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Severn clobbers Tolonen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Tolonen connects with a crisp jab.

Severn lands a big right hand that sends Tolonen crashing to the mat! Severn stays standing though and waves Tolonen back to his feet!

Tolonen is rocked!

It looks like Iiro Tolonen has been cut.
Tolonen misses the jab.
Oh Tolonen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Severn misses the jab.
Tolonen seems to have got his legs back now.
Tolonen tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Severn checks a low kick from Tolonen.

Tolonen throws a sloppy head kick and Severn moves out of range easily.
Severn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tolonen is looking to score with low kicks.

Severn cracks Tolonen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Severn has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Tolonen to stand back up!

Severn lands a big uppercut and Tolonen crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Tolonen looks OK. Severn waves Tolonen back to his feet!
Tolonen throws a jab but it's blocked by Severn.
Tolonen gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Severn points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Tolonen wakes up just in time to hear Severn thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
