Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luana Peroba Filgueiras!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filgueiras shoots in for a takedown but Matumba shows good takedown defense.
Matumba swinging wildly here.
Matumba scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Matumba ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Filgueiras gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Matumba counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Matumba gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Filgueiras is trying hard to land a takedown here. Matumba sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Umba Matumba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luana Peroba Filgueiras.
Filgueiras showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Matumba.
Matumba stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Matumba counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Matumba.
Matumba has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Matumba decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Filgueiras, up you get!
Matumba shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Filgueiras eats them both and turns towards Matumba to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Luana Peroba Filgueiras has been cut.
Matumba fails to land with a series of punches.

Matumba dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Filgueiras. That did some damage!
Filgueiras shoots in for a double leg but Matumba sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Filgueiras looks winded!

Oooooh!!! Matumba has knocked Filgueiras down with a huge combo! Matumba steps away and waves a wobbly Filgueiras back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Matumba rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Filgueiras moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Matumba lands a left and a right that send Filgueiras crashing to the mat, dazed. Matumba thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Matumba connects with a solid leg kick.
Matumba feints with a jab and clips Filgueiras right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Filgueiras is sent crashing into the canvas and Matumba leaps in for the kill! Filgueiras tries to get to his feet but Matumba is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Filgueiras is in need of a savior and steps in!
