PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Kenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Winchester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenny comes into the arena with Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire blaring out of the sound system. Winchester has chosen Carry on my wayward son as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenny tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Winchester digs a good hook to Kenny's body.
Kenny bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Winchester throws the kick towards the body but Kenny avoids it.

Winchester gets caught flat footed, as Kenny shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Winchester has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kenny can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Winchester is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kenny defends well.

Winchester has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kenny is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Winchester.

Kenny wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Winchester, who protects the arm well.

Kenny working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Winchester looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Kenny! Submission of the night perhaps?
